Baar — what it is and how it works
Baar is the currency inside Tubaar. You spend it to send a gift, support a creator, unlock a saga episode, or come into a paid live. Creators receive Baar when you do.
Twenty-five Baar are worth one dollar of face value. You will rarely need that number: every screen that asks for Baar shows the amount before you agree to anything.
Bought Baar and earned Baar
Your wallet keeps the two apart, and the difference matters.
- Purchased — Baar you bought. You can spend them on anything.
- Earned — Baar other people sent you, or that Tubaar paid you. You can spend them on anything and they are the only Baar you can turn back into money.
When you spend, Tubaar uses your purchased Baar first and leaves your earned balance intact, so buying a gift never eats into what you could cash out.
What you can spend Baar on
- Gifts on a video or during a live, to the creator or to a guest on stage.
- Creator support, once or every month, for creators who have it switched on.
- Saga episodes past the free run, or a pass that opens a whole story.
- Entry to a paid live, when a host asks for one. You pay once and it covers that host for twenty-four hours.
Where to see your balance
Open your wallet — Me → Baar in the app, or the wallet page on the web. It shows your spendable total, how much of it is purchased and how much is earned, and every movement in and out with the reason.
