How to apply as a producer, publish episodes, set the free window and price your story.

Producing a saga

Sagas are published by producers. That can be a production company, a small crew, or one person with a phone and a story worth following.

Applying

Any member can apply, but nobody is approved automatically — apply from Settings → Business, or go straight to the saga application in the web app, and a person reviews it.

You will be asked for:

  • a producer name, the one shown publicly on your sagas
  • your legal name, used as evidence and never shown to anyone
  • a photo ID, checked against that legal name and stored privately

Your producer name is matched against the document during review, which is why it cannot be edited afterwards — a rename is a conversation with an admin, not a settings change. Your handle is fixed for the same reason a saga's URL is: it is what every share link points at.

If an application is declined you can apply again. An approved one cannot be re-submitted.

The Saga Studio

Once approved, the studio is where a saga lives. From it you can:

  • Add episodes in order. An episode is a video like any other; the saga is what orders them.
  • Schedule releases. Give an episode a release date and it publishes itself, with viewers who asked to be notified told at that moment.
  • Set the free window. Choose a number of episodes, or "half", which recalculates as the saga grows.
  • Price it. Set the credits an episode costs, and optionally a pass price for the whole saga.
  • Pick the trailer. One episode can appear in Pulse so people can find you.

Choosing a free window

This is the most consequential number in a saga. Too short and nobody gets far enough in to care; too long and there is nothing left to unlock. Ten episodes is the default for a reason, but the right answer depends on how quickly your story earns its hook.

Lengthening the window is safe at any time. Shortening it never revokes an episode someone already unlocked.

Disclosing AI

If any part of your saga uses AI-generated footage, mark it in the studio. It is shown on the saga's page. Store rules and the EU AI Act both expect this, and it is not optional.

Credits and roles

You can list cast and crew by name and role on the saga's page. A credited person does not need a Tubaar account.
