Tubaar grows from the experience and technology behind Ontryst, a social app that helps people discover and connect with the people around them. Building Ontryst taught us something simple: the big platforms were never designed around where people actually live. Our languages came last, our cities were an afterthought, our culture got flattened into a hashtag.
Tubaar takes that local-social idea into video. Where Ontryst begins with people nearby, Tubaar begins with content and creators nearby — expression, entertainment, creativity and community, starting in the places global platforms underserve.
It is African-first without being limited to Africa. Creators, music, humour, dance, fashion, languages and daily life from Kinshasa, Lagos and Abidjan shape its early identity. The platform itself stays open to the world — and worldwide Scenes connect anyone who cares about the same thing, wherever they are.
