Voice and video calls

Calling someone on Tubaar, answering, and what happens when you miss one.

Voice and video calls

You can call people you are connected with on Tubaar, by voice or video.

Making a call

Open a conversation and choose voice or video. The other person is notified — on their lock screen if they allow it — and the call connects when they answer.

Answering

An incoming call rings and shows who is calling. Accept or decline. Declining does not block anyone; it just ends that call.

Missed calls

A call you did not answer appears in your Calls list, and in the conversation, so you can call back. Nothing is recorded, and there is no voicemail.

If the call will not connect

Calls need a working connection at both ends and permission to use your microphone and camera.

  • Check that Tubaar has microphone permission (and camera, for video) in your phone settings.
  • On a weak connection, try voice instead of video.
  • If the other person never sees the call, they may have notifications off.
