Baar you have earned can be turned into money. Baar you bought cannot.
Why only earned Baar
Earned Baar came from someone else — a gift, a supporter, a saga unlock, a subscriber. Purchased Baar are money you already have, and letting them flow straight back out would make Tubaar a way to move money around rather than a way to pay creators.
What it pays and the minimum
A cash-out pays a percentage of face value, and there is a minimum number of Baar per request. Both numbers are shown in your wallet, above the request form, before you ask for anything — read them there rather than from any figure you saw elsewhere, because they can change.
The wallet also shows the exact amount you will be paid for the Baar you entered, and tells you straight away when an amount is below the minimum.
Where it is available
Cash-out is open in the DRC, paid to Mobile Money — M-Pesa, Orange Money or Airtel Money. If your account is elsewhere, the wallet says so instead of showing the form.
Making a request
- Open the wallet and scroll to the cash-out card.
- Enter the Baar you want to convert, your Mobile Money number and the operator.
- Send the request. The Baar are held aside at once, so they cannot be spent while the request is open.
You can have one open request at a time, and there is a limit on how much of your earnings you may cash out in a single month. Both are there to keep the queue honest.
What happens next
A person reviews the request and sends the money by hand. You can see the state of the request in your wallet, and cancel it while it is still waiting — cancelling releases the held Baar back to your balance.
