Earning on Tubaar

Everything you earn arrives as Baar, in the earned side of your wallet. Earned Baar can be spent like any other, and they are the only ones you can turn back into money.

Gifts

Anyone watching a video or a live can send you a gift. Gifts cost the sender a few Baar each and the full amount reaches you — Tubaar does not take a cut of a gift. During a live, a gift can go to you or to a guest on your stage.

Creator support

Verified creators on a Lite plan or above can switch on support: a viewer backs you once, or every month. The amounts are fixed by Tubaar so a supporter always knows what they are agreeing to, and a monthly supporter is charged again on the same date until they stop.

Switch it on at Settings → Business → Support.

Sagas

If you are an approved producer, viewers pay Baar to unlock an episode past the free run, or buy a pass for the whole story. You set both prices inside the range Tubaar allows, and the first few episodes are always free so the story can sell itself. See Producing a saga.

Paid lives

When you start a live you can ask for an entry price in Baar. A viewer watches free for the first minutes, then pays once — and that payment covers them for you for twenty-four hours.

Subscribers

A member on a Tubaar plan can subscribe to you at no extra cost to them. Each month their plan renews and is paid, Tubaar pays you 12 Baar for every subscriber, whichever plan they are on. Offering subscriptions needs a verified account on a Plus plan or above. See Creator subscriptions.

Seeing what you have earned

Your wallet separates earned from purchased and lists every movement with its reason, so you can tell a gift from a saga unlock. Producers get more detail in Saga Studio: views, unlocks and gifts per episode, and what the whole saga has made.

Where a figure is shown in dollars it is an estimate of what it would pay if cashed out, at the rate in your wallet.
